GRETA LESKO.
Lives and works in Podkarpacie Province, where she was also born. She studied in the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn. She produces paintings and graphic designs, as well as objects and installations. She has participated in exhibitions in Poland, Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia. Her works can be found in churches; they are also included in private collections in Poland and abroad. They all revolve around the major themes of relations, encounter, transfiguration and resurrection, with the icon taking centre stage. She uses both the semantic and the painterly language of the icon to create a sacred space upon the existent reality.
